Welcome to Green Minds. We are a community ecotherapy service based at Brecon & District Mind in Powys, Wales.
Spending time in nature has multiple health benefits and at Green Minds we know that our health and wellbeing is dependent on a deeper and more reciprocal relationship with the natural world around us. Through the use of horticultural activities, restorative nature-connection sessions and craft making we support local people wishing to improve their mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. At Green Minds we offer opportunities for people to reconnect with themselves and to nature as well as develop practical and meaningful skills. Our approach is to learn and grow together and walk alongside those on a journey to improve and maintain their wellbeing, and we offer safe, healing environments that provide respite from life's daily challenges.
Whether you choose to volunteer as a gardener member on one of our Social & Therapeutic Horticulture projects, or participate in one of Green Minds ecotherapy programmes, the Green Minds team are here to support you in taking manageable steps to build confidence, skills and bring more peace and happiness into your life.
"Being in nature makes me feel more calm and less anxious. At Green Minds I have made new friends and the sessions have been so rewarding" - Green Minds Participant
